CannabisTech – Preventing Powdery Mildew Using Climate Control
CannabisTech magazine recently published an article on organic powdery mildew prevention in cannabis. The most effective way to prevent this common mold is by controlling humidity, in which DryGair excels.
The following are excerpts from the original article. Find the full article in CannabisTech Magazine.
Using DryGair to Prevent Powdery Mildew
Using dehumidifiers to maintain the ideal humidity in your grow is the most effective way to prevent powdery mildew. High humidity is the main prerequisite for this disease. So, it’s no surprise that the simplest way to prevent it is by removing this basic requirement.
Dehumidifier manufacturers, such as DryGair, have designed and developed unique models specifically for cannabis.
The article is, of course, referring to the latest DryGair model – DG-X.
These units are compact and designed to fit in any grow room. But they’re also equipped with powerful water extraction systems and fans to ensure enough dehumidification capacity to keep your plants dry.
DryGair’s Air Circulation
It’s important to note that airflow can be created using several methods. Horizontal fans, vertical fans, etc., move the air in one direction and don’t create cohesion. So while they may help to a degree, they don’t create a uniform climate in the entire space, leading to discrepancies.
Air circulation, on the other hand, is a method that ensures cohesive air movement to create homogeneous conditions everywhere in the grow room. DryGair’s dehumidifiers, for example, come equipped with a patented air circulation system to provide both necessary functions in one unit.
