In April 2025, GrowSave hosted a special workshop on Practicalities of Dehumidification at the University of Lincoln. The event featured expert presentations and a guided tour of the Lincoln Institute for Agri-Food Technologies (LIAT) and the new Project GASTRO glasshouse.
Among the speakers was Justin van der Putten from DryGair, who presented our innovative solutions for greenhouse dehumidification. His talk focused on reducing humidity overnight to prevent condensation at sunrise—one of the key challenges for growers. He also shared case studies from a variety of crops, including vegetables, flowers, herbs, and cannabis, as well as DryGair’s specially designed units that adapt to different glasshouse layouts.
Other highlights included:
Van Dijk Heating on advanced Active Ventilation Systems (AVS)
Project GASTRO research into NIR reflective glass to optimize energy efficiency
University of Lincoln developments in robotics and AI for crop monitoring and harvesting
DryGair is proud to contribute to the discussion on sustainable, energy-efficient horticulture and to support growers worldwide in improving yield quality while reducing environmental impact.
