Advanced Environment Control Make Climate Control Simpler – DryGair Mentioned in HortNews’ 2022 Yearbook

HortNews’ Yearbook is an annual magazine that presents the latest trends and technologies in horticulture.

In their recent 2022 yearbook, they’ve mentioned DryGair as one of the companies advancing and simplifying climate control for greenhouses and indoor growing facilities.

These are some excerpts from the article:

Greenhouse Humidity Control

Humidity build-up is the main reason greenhouse operators open their windows and vents. It’s a way to let the humidity out, but there are many disadvantages to doing so, especially overnight, or when it’s rainy, damp, or cold outside. By ventilating, you lose everything you’ve invested into your greenhouse, like heat and CO2.

Maintaining a Closed Environment

With the greenhouse closed and humidity controlled from the inside, growers can turn off the heating when it’s warm enough. They no longer have to constantly make up for heat escaping through the windows or vents. This one thing helps growers save an average 50% on energy. It also keeps the CO2 inside, which is a precious resource in a greenhouse, increasing the plants’ photosynthesis and metabolism.

The Importance of Air Circulation

This is also where the firm’s air circulation concept comes into play. DryGair’s dehumidifiers expel the treated air evenly in a 360° spectrum. This is important, because it creates a homogenous airflow, rather than a series of directional fans which don’t operate in harmony.

Preventing Greenhouse Diseases

By getting humidity under control, growers also eliminate the conditions necessary for most common greenhouse diseases. Fungicides aren’t necessary when diseases can’t develop in the first place.
