Ziv Shaked Interview with Paprika Tasty Radio at GreenTech Amsterdam 2022

During GreenTech Amsterdam, our very own Ziv Shaked was interviewed by Romy Stuik of Paprika Tasty Radio. The two discussed what DryGair does, how it benefits greenhouse and indoor growers, and how it saves over 50% on energy.

“We have a patent that was developed in Israel, by the Volcani Research Institute. What we do is condense the water from the air in a very efficient way – 4 liters of water per kW. The other important factor is how we circulate the air. Our patent includes a unique mechanism that ensures even conditions in the entire facility – in the corner, in the middle, on the sides, you get the same conditions of relative humidity and temperature everywhere.”

“This is how we prevent the dew point. By preventing the dew point, we prevent the conditions for spores to develop. Then you don’t have to spray, meaning less work, less chemicals, etc. We have a lot of research that shows better yields as well – you can get more per square meter. And of course, save a lot of energy, more than 50%!”

“The whole idea is to close the greenhouse. Seal it and use thermal screens. Then, by not ventilating, you keep the energy inside. The DG unit will take care of humidity inside. Again, we’re talking about 48 liters, at 80% relative humidity and 18°C. That’s a lot of water, and all the energy stays inside.”

“Growers need to choose the right solution for them. What we offer is a team of agronomists and specialists that know how to escort growers, answer questions, and give the best recommendation for each facility, based on their data. It’s important to us to be part of the grow, and make sure growers operate the system as effectively as possible.”
