German Magazine Dega Gartenbau Reports on DryGair

Using 24 DryGair units, rose growing business, Van der Hulst, consumes significantly less energy, improves CO2 retention in the greenhouse, and improves flower quality.

The following are excerpts from the original article, published in Dega Gartenbau magazine.

Dutch Rose business, Van der Hulst in Meterik, recently hosted a visit from German greenhouse growers, in which Royal Brinkman’s Eef Zwinkels presented the DryGair system and its benefits.

During the visit, growers witnessed the DryGair dehumidifiers in action. Hanging above the crops, the units take in the humid air, condense and extract water, and release dry air. This leads Van der Hulst to save a significant amount of energy. According to Zwinkels, savings can reach 50%.

Additional advantages include better temperature control, leading to slightly warmer greenhouse conditions. It also helps in retaining CO2. Overall, these benefits help produce higher quality roses, by improving stem strength and blossom quality, as well as flower size.
